From Christmas

One Big Cutie is awake...

Baby really slept hard through all of the present-opening. She's still worn out from all of this Christmas.


Here you can see Dad tried to prop her up to open gifts, thinking this would rouse her... nope.


But Big Girl had no problem opening everything ;)


Even a Sing-a-ma-jig singing in Baby's face wasn't waking her...


Santa Grandma and Grandpa brought Dad and I Wii! (which he is enjoying as I type) We can't wait to play Rock Band!

When she did wake up, Baby was very interested in pressing all of the singing Christmas thingies that we inherited from Great-Great Grandma's move South.

After eating and opening all those presents, both Daddy and Baby are worn out again...


In the evening we visited Pap's. Aunt K and Aunt J were there.

Well, we had a wonderful Christmas and we hope you all did too!

Merry Christmas Everyone!! Hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas -- we are certainly blessed over here. We spent the night at my parents and I have lots of great pics, but I left the USB cord at home, so we'll have to wait on those. Here are a few things from this week...

I did manage to take a picture of my sonogram and upload it to the computer. Would look better if i scanned it, but oh well. In this one it looks like Baby MH is winking at us. ;)


Dad put all of Baby's toys behind her little door frame, so she has to go in and pull them out if she wants them.



And, yay, I did manage to actually bake this year. I am glad that the 3-day baking spree is over; these are just the treats I make on Day 3 for our family. Day 1 was the neighbors and Big Girl's teachers; Day 2 was my co-workers on my unit. Here we have chocolate chunk mint cookies, oatmeal coconut chocolate chip cookies, mini chocolate cheesecake cupcakes, pumpkin cream cheese bread, cranberry bread, cookie/brownie bars and banana walnut chocolate chip bread. It was really fun to bake, but like I said, I'm over it for the time being :)

This morning we went for sonogram #4589 ( :) ) and it looks like we will welcome another little girl into the family in May! How exciting!!

Don't know how well anyone can see these, but it least they are something for everyone to look at. Maybe I'll get around to trying to post the actual prints they sent us home with. ;)


I'm pretty set on this little angel's name being Mary Helen (first name) Margaret (middle name), so it will take some convincing from Dad if he's changed his mind since we last discussed the issue. ;)

Hope everyone is well and excited for Christmas! We certainly are!

First, Happy Birthday to my Awesome Grandma! The girls are going over with my parents to see her today -- I wish I was going too, but instead I'll be at work.

Here's The Baby. Another day, another hat...


My mom always bakes a ton for Christmas and here is the beginning of my attempt to continue that tradition in our family... fingers crossed that everyone I am planning on giving baked goods to really ends up with something yummy...


And most-excitingly, Aunt K was commissioned into the Navy yesterday. She worked super hard for this and we are all way proud of her (especially Pap - can you tell?). I wish I had taken more pics, but I really wanted to get the video that is below. Congrats, Aunt K!! You are truly a model of hard work and determination paid off!

I don't know if everyone else is as excited as we are, but boy, we are excited -- Christmas is almost here!! Yay!!!

Let's start this post off right with a picture of a Sleeping Baby, who, coincidentally, is posed the exact same way right next to me at this very moment. There are few things I love more than pictures of sleeping kids... (my poor kids...)




This is Big Girl and I at the Living Christmas Tree performance that we went to with my parents. It was great. Can't believe how much bigger Big Girl is since I first took her three years ago.


This right here is a naughty little baby. I know she looks cute but boy is she trouble! This day I could NOT keep her out of my kitchen cabinets. Spices are just too much fun apparently. So the result was this:


When I got home from work, Dad had installed this little miracle for me. I don't think I mentioned Baby had also figured out how to open this very gate when we had if casually placed in front of the stairs -- and she LOVES the stairs even more than spices. With this gate where it is, Baby can neither get to the stairs nor the cabinets. I love it (she hates it -- I don't have a pic of her pounding on it in frustration).

Baby also despises this hat, and most hats pretty much (can you tell??). But isn't it darling??? Big Girl picked it out for her -- great pick, Big Sis!!



Yesterday morning, Baby decided to help out with the swiffering while enjoying her morning bottle. What a multi-tasker!

It really wore her out though...


She slept all the way through our shopping trip to Toys-R-Us!

And last but not least, this video is from last night. Baby's new favorite night activity is throwing herself around on Mom and Dad's bed. I'm feeling kind of bad for Big Girl since Baby's new bed is all set up now in their room and we'll probably *try* to move her next week. We'll see how that one goes!

So, we've had some exciting times lately -- Aunt J got married on December 5th. Of course we had a great time celebrating that happy day.

Yesterday was Gingerbread House Day at Big Girl's school. Fun times!

I forgot I got us these shirts last year and when she saw we both had them, she insisted we wore them.

Obviously she is a master Gingerbread architect.

Last but not least, I personalized our stockings. I love the Christmas season. Hope you all are enjoying it as much as we are!
